Mowat Centre Report Recommends Provincial-State Regulatory Caucus

The Mowat Centre offers an excellent suggestion to build on the work of the Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC):  Create a Provincial-State Regulatory Caucus to align standards at the state and local levels.

The suggestions is part of the Mowat Centre’s fantastic February 2014 report (short summary available here) that reviews and lays out a future path for Ontario’s manufacturing sector.  The Mowat Centre  “is an independent public policy think tank located at the School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Toronto and Ontario’s non-partisan, evidence-based voice on public policy.”  From pages 11-12 of the centre’s 2012 report:

This short but important suggestion shows just how powerful enhancing the Canada-U.S. trade relationship is not only for macro-economic benefits, but improving local economies on both sides of the border.
